2008-2009 PIPS Fellows Future Plans
Andrew Noll
Andrew Noll will graduate from the College of William and Mary with a B.A.
in Government and a minor in African Studies in May 2010.
He will intern at the U.S. Department of State in the African Affairs Bureau
during the summer of 2009. This summer, he will also complete a Monroe
Scholar independent research project, entitled "Electoral Systems and
Democratization in Southern Africa." This research examines the effect of
electoral architectures on the consolidation of democracy in South Africa,
Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia. Following graduation, Andrew plans to
continue his education with graduate study in either international relations
or law. His goal is a career that will enable him to translate scholarship
into effective public policy in the areas of international security or development.
